We are creating an accessible hub of local knowledge, equipment, and experience based around the culture, craft, and activity of wave-sliding (i.e. surfing, bodysurfing, booging, sweeping, etc). As a donation-supported project, this hub will be founded and provided by the goodwill of the surf commonwealth, wishing to dig deeper roots in the surf community of Morro Bay. There are waves galore up and down the central coast, the long ropey left runners off bs at the rock, the quick, steep drops and tight pockets of south swell magnets in the northern waters, the roaring green winter caverns groomed by valley downflowing San Ana's, the seemingly endless springtime slop. There are ways and crafts to enjoy every kind of surf or lack thereof on this elbow of California. Stop by and leaf through some boards, read a surfers journal, do ding repair, kick some dirt, or tell us why Schaler Perry's got it all wrong this week.
